Relevant information
Read the safety instructions carefully before using the unit. Observe the warnings on the unit
and in the instructions for use.
Always keep the instruction manual at hand. If you sell the unit or pass it on, be certain to hand
over the manual.
The language of the On-Screen display (of the DVD menu) is shown in English in these
instructions. You may however set the On-Screen display to use Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch
and German.
Keep electrical equipment out of the hands of children
Never let children use electrical equipment without supervision.
Batteries can endanger life if swallowed. For this reason keep the unit and
batteries out of the reach of youngl children. If a battery is swallowed, seek
medical help immediately.
Also keep the packaging material out of the reach of children. There is a
danger of suffocation.
Set up the unit in a secure position
Place the unit on a solid level surface. The unit is not designed to be used
in areas of high humidity (e.g. bathroom).
Take care that the ventilation louvres are not covered, so that sufficient
ventilation is always ensured;
do not allow sources (e.g. radiators) to transmit heat directly on the
unit;
do not allow direct sunlight on the unit;
avoid contact with moisture, water or spray (e.g. do not place any vases
on the unit);
do not place the unit in the immediate vicinity of magnetic fields
(e.g. television or other loudspeakers);
keep open flames (e.g. burning candles) away from the unit.
Ensure that the mains supply is easily accessible
Connect the unit only to an easily accessible socket (230 V ~ 50 Hz), close
to the location of use. In case you have to rapidly disconnect the unit from
the mains, the socket must be easily accessible.
