The pressure control (illus. 2, 2.3) on the model table is used for locking or moving the model table with the model. If the
adjustment screw on the pressure control is turned anti-clockwise, the model table (illus. 6.1, 6.1.2) is locked onto the base
plate by suction.
If the adjustment screw is turned clockwise, the air in the model table base is directed downwards forming an air cushion
between the model table and the base plate. The model table can then be moved easily.
The basic pressure of the air supply to the model table is set using the red compressed air control (illus. 2, 2.3) on the column
support.
Turning the control clockwise reduces or stops the flow of compressed air and turning it anti-clockwise increases the flow.

5.6.2 Clamping the model on the model table

The basic position of the clamp is adjusted to fit differently sized models by pressing down the jaws of the clamp and
simultaneously pulling out the knurled screw (illus. 6, 6.4). The setting is finely adjusted by turning the knurled screw
(illus. 6, 6.4).
The front clamp jaws (illus. 6, 6.3) can be moved eccentrically, if required, using an Allen key.
The model table can be swivelled by loosening the lever (illus. 6, 6.5). The model table is set at the required angle by
tightening the lever and, if necessary, by using the additional locking mechanism.

5.6.3 Using the extension adapter for the model table

In order to raise the height of the clamping device, screw the extension adapter (illus. 6.1) between the lower part and
the clamping device (illus. 6.1, 6.1.1).

Using the compressed air cooling

Instruments can be cooled using compressed air. There is also a small reservoir above the air nozzle, which can be filled
with oil. The preset air jet is operated using the right foot control.
The force of the air jet cooling is regulated using the blue compressed air control (illus. 2, 2.4).
The air and oil nozzles (illus. 4, 5.10) are clamped to the handle of the micromotor (illus. 4, 5.7) and adjusted to the
correct height.
Milling oil from the reservoir can be added as required, providing a film of oil which makes it easier tosmooth the
metal when milling.
