Following the user instruction of the product and the inspection sheet, and without specific tools or a particular measuring device. Observe and touch each component of
the product in order to detect possible anomalies. If one of the checkpoints is defective, the product must be withdrawn from service and replaced by a compliant device,
or must be returned either to Kratos Safety or to an authorized service centre, in order to have the repairs performed.The use of this sheet for periodic inspection is reser-
ved for competent persons.
Inspect the visual aspect of the product; the device must be checkable
Aluminium head :

Check the aluminium head condition, there should be no distortion, oxidation, cut nor wear.
Anchorage ring :

Verify the condition of the anchor ring; it should not be misshapen, oxidized, cut or worn. It should spin freely.
Detent ball pins :

Check the three tripod's detent ball pins, they should not be misshapen, oxidized, cut or worn, make sure that the de-
tent ball pins works properly by handling them. Check that they can take place in their holes as it shoud be. Verify that
the detent ball pins are linked to the tripod's aluminium head by their steel cables.
Legs holding screws :

Check the condition of the legs's holding screw, they should not be misshapen, oxidized or broken. Using a ring span-
ner make sure that the legs's holding screws are well clamped.
Wire rope guiding pulleys :

Verify the condition of the wire rope guiding pulleys, make sure that they are not misshapen, oxidized, cut or worn.
Check that the wire rope guide pulleys rotate around their axis. Verify the presence of the circlips on the axes.
Wire rope's retention pins :

Check the condition of the wire rope's retention pins, they should not be misshapen, oxidized or broken. Make sure
that they can take place propely in their holes. Verify that the wire rope's retention pins are linked to the tripod's alu-
minium head by their steel cables.
Aluminium legs :

Check the aluminium legs', they should be not misshapen, oxidized, cut or wear.
Dowel pins :

Verify the condition of the aluminium legs dowel pins, they should not be misshapen, oxidized, cut or wear. Make sure
that they take place properly in the adjusting holes of the aluminium legs. Check that the dowel pins are attached to
the tripod's aluminium legs by their steel cables.
Winch support plate :

Check the condition of the winche support plate, it should not be misshapen, oxidized, cut or wear. The support plate
have to be properly attached to the tripod's aluminium foot.
Anti-skid pads :

Verify the condition of the three anti-skid pads, they should not be misshapen, cut, wear or oxidized. Check that they
can rotate around their axis. Make sure that the holding screws of the pads are not bent, oxidized or broken. Using a
ring spanner make sure that the pads holding screws are well clamped.
Anti-spacing lanyard & adjusting buckle (Depending on the model) :

Check the condition of the anti-spacing lanyard, there should be neither wear, cut, burn, nor distortion. Verify the
condition of the seams, make sure that the adjusting buckle operates properly and also check its condition.
Anti-spacing chain & connector (Depending on the model) :

Check the condition of the anti-spacing chain , it should be neither worn, cut, oxidized, oxydation, distorded. Make
sure that the connector of the chain operates properly and verify its condition.
I.D label :

Make sure that the marking label is present and readable.
Overall Condition :
Evaluate the overall condition of the product according to the above checkpoints, and the visual aspect of the pro-
duct.
