INSTALL THE EDU FROM THE ORIGINAL SHADE IN THE REPLACEMENT ROLLER:
A. Lay the Replacement Roller on the work surface.
B. Remove the empty Bearing Sleeve from the drive
end of the Shade Tube and discard it.
Keep the protective foam Bottom Bar packing
material in place.
C. Carefully unroll the fabric from the Shade Tube
while loosely wrapping it around the Bottom
Bar. Use caution to avoid creasing or soiling the
fabric. Continue until the outer surface of the
Shade Tube is exposed.
D. If you removed EDU Puck screws in Step C of
Section 1, check for screw holes 16 in (406 mm)
from the drive end of the replacement shade
tube. If the replacement shade tube has holes,
proceed directly to Step E.
If the replacement shade tube does not have
holes, replace the existing EDU Puck with the
Rubber EDU Puck provided in the Replacement Roller kit, as shown below:

Sleeve with the splines on the inside of the

the Shade Tube.
G. If you replaced the EDU Puck in Step D,
proceed directly to Step H.
If you did not replace the EDU Puck (the
replacement shade tube has screw holes),
use the power tool to re-install the EDU Puck
screws removed in Step C of Section 1. The
screws will self-drill into the EDU Puck. Tighten
so that the screw heads are fully seated.
H. Reverse Step C, re-wrapping all the
fabric around the Shade Tube. Use
caution to keep the fabric straight and
evenly wrapped. Remove the protective
foam Bottom Bar packing material.
Roller replacement is complete, and the
converted shade is ready for installation.
