Cooking Guidelines
SETTINGS
This is the setting to
HIGH
use when you don't
have time for a long,
slow cook. It's also the
setting to select when
"baking" in your slow
cooker.
This is the standard
LOW
slow cooker tempera-
ture, and is ideal for
foods that you start
in the morning before
work, and enjoy at the
end of your day.
Do not use this setting
to cook food. This set-
KEEP
ting is intended only to
WARM
keep precooked foods
warm.
NOTE: The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) recommends that when cooking anything
that contains meat in a slow cooker, the meat should reach 140°F within 2 hours. This ensures
that the meat reaches food-safe temperatures in the proper amount of time.
