1 Applications
The desktop microphone ST-5000 is designed
for conferences and announcements. It fea-
tures a microphone cartridge with high direc-
tivity and provides an on-off switch and an LED
power indicator.
Power is supplied via phantom power
(12 – 48 V) which is available at the micro-
phone input of many mixing consoles and
preamplifiers.
2 Important Notes
The product corresponds to all relevant direc-
tives of the EU and is therefore marked with

The product is suitable for indoor use only.
Protect it against dripping water, splash
water and high air humidity. The admissible
ambient temperature range is 0 – 40 °C.

For cleaning the product only use a dry, soft
cloth; never use water or chemicals.

No guarantee claims for the product and no
liability for any resulting personal damage
or material damage will be accepted if the
product is not correctly used or not expertly
repaired.
If the product is to be put out of oper-
ation definitely, dispose of the product
in accordance with local regulations.
3 Before Operation
Before connecting / disconnecting, mute the
microphone input or turn down the volume of
the corresponding device (e. g. mixing console
or amplifier).
Use an XLR cable to connect the output (1) of
the microphone to the microphone input of
the subsequent device. The input must provide
phantom power (12 – 48 V); if it does not, con-
nect the microphone to the input via a phan-
tom power supply unit.
Put the foam windshield provided on the
microphone cartridge (2) to suppress pop
noise and to protect the microphone from the
moisture from your breath.

4 Operation
To switch the microphone on and off, press the
