Mounting instructions

(Figure 1 + 2 + 3).
Belt grinder GX 75.
Before any work on the machine itself, pull
the power plug from the socket outlet.
Dismount the spark guard (3).
Dismount the grinding rest (5), the dust col-
lector (6) and the star knob bolt (4).
Open the side cover (8).
Loosen the belt tension lever (1) and
remove the grinding belt.
Close the side cover.
Loosen the lever for the swivel device (7)
and position the belt grinder approx. level.
Radius grinding module GXR.
Take the module out of the packaging and
mount the accessories as described in the
data sheet and the instruction DVD.
Remove the four bolts (9) at the side of the
radius grinding unit.
Attach the radius grinding unit to the belt
grinder and align the bolt bores.
Connect both units with the four bolts (9).
Clamp the lever for the swivel device (7).
Fill up the collection tank (18) halfway with
water. Position the collection tank between
the support columns of the radius grinding
module.
Caution! Danger of fire when operating the
module without water filled in the collection
tank!
Mount the contact roller.
Before any work on the machine itself, pull
the power plug from the socket outlet.
Loosen both wing bolts (11) and move the
spark guard (10) fully up.
Insert the contact roller (21) with the
required diameter into the fork guide and
secure it with both locking screws (20).
Adjust the belt tracking each time after
changing a contact roller.
Contact rollers should always be stored in
the holding device/magazine (27) when not
in use.

Mounting/replacing the grinding belt.
Before any work on the machine itself, pull
the power plug from the socket outlet.
Loosen the belt tension lever (1) and assem-
ble a grinding belt, size 75 x 2250 mm.
The direction-of-rotation mark of the
grinding belt must correspond with the
direction of rotation.
Tension the grinding belt with the belt ten-
sion lever (1).
Rotate the grinding belt manually and
observe if it moves left or right of the con-
tact roller (21).
Adjust the guidance of the drive wheel on
the belt grinder in such a manner that the
grinding belt runs centred. The exact adjust-
ment is made with the machine running.
Operating instructions.
Wear safety glasses.
Close the cover/side cover (19)/(8). When
the protective devices are not mounted, the
grinding belt can catch hold of your clothing
and cause serious injury.
Turn the button of the red emergency
OFF pushbutton on the GX 75 belt grinder
toward the right and flip the button upward.
The On/Off switch is located below the red
emergency OFF pushbutton.
Switching ON:
Push the green button.
Switching OFF:
Push the red button.
In case of an emergency, immediately push
the red emergency OFF pushbutton on the
belt grinder.
