Check Continuity
Select the Read mode by pressing the SOURCE/READ button until "READ" appears on the
display. Set the toggle switch to the READ position.
Display: Ω, CONTINUITY
This function checks continuity.
1. Turn the Selector knob to OHMS.
2. Connect the black and red leads to the meter as shown.
3. Connect the red (+) lead and the black (-) lead of the meter across the item to be
measured.
4. Press the RANGE/TYPE button until "CONTINUITY" appears.
5. A tone sounds and the tone symbol (
between the leads is less than approximately 100 ohms.
