Multi-switch distribution network amplifi er
The VWS 2900 is used for optimal signal processing on the input of
larger multi-switch cascades, or as cascadable distribution network
amplifi er for compensating cable or tap/splitter transmission losses in
larger distribution networks.
Multi-switch distribution network amplifi ers for the satellite and
terrestrial range in a Kathrein 8 x Sat-IF distribution system
Nine amplifi ers (8 x satellite IF and 1 x terrestrial range) in a
single housing
High dynamic range of amplifi er units
High decoupling between the amplifi er units
CATV-capable terrestrial amplifi er unit
Variable attenuators (1 dB steps) in each amplifi er unit to equalise
different input levels
Integrated pre-equalisation to equalise cable slopes
Variable equaliser (2 dB steps) in each amplifi er unit to equalise
different cable slopes
Low power consumption based on high-effi ciency short-circuit-
proof switch-mode power supply unit
LNB can be remote fed via the horizontal low inputs.
All other inputs are voltage-free
(enabling operation with UAS 485)
