5.5 Water fog/foam combination
▪
All fan types (except the E16EX) are optionally available with an integrated
stainless steel water spray insert.
▪
This water spray insert is located between the fan wheel and the blower side
grid and comes standard-equipped with a Storz C coupling.
▪
This enables a water spray to be immediately available without further
manipulation if needed after connecting to a suitable water supply (up to
approx. 7 bar). The high air output of the FANERGY fans guarantees excellent
nebulisation; the water spray is carried several metres by the airflow.

FANERGY fans with a water spray insert are therefore particularly suitable for
extinguishing or cooling endangered objects.
▪
In connection with a foam net, PE FILM tube and the foam proportioner Z 2,
the FANERGY fans with an integrated water spray insert can also be used as a
high expansion foam generator.
▪
For this purpose the foam net is mounted on the fan nozzle with the help of
the integrated tension belt. Subsequently the film tube is mounted over the
foam net and fastened with the belt.

When using the foam net and/or air duct, please shorten the belt strap
provided to the required length to prevent suction into the fan.
Attention! Make sure that the tension belt of the foam net and/or air duct
cannot be sucked into the fan housing.
Secure the belt end against suction on the opened grab handle or frame of
the fan.

The foam proportioner is connected between the water spray insert coupling
and the water supply.
▪
Due to the very high air output and when using a multipurpose foaming agent,
a foam expansion of 1:500 to 1:800 is achieved.
