Caution: Danger! Never work on the
machine when live!

If the voltage signal exceeds the voltage
range given at the input signal terminal
block by more than 15 %, the input circuit
can be damaged!

6. ZERO/SPAN Adjustment

Observe a module warm-up time of
4 minutes before the adjustment procedure!
The module is preset in the factory to
0-24 V input and 0...10 V output.
Two potentiometers on the front of
the module (Fig. 5) are available for
adjustment:
ZERO: adjustment of the zero point
SPAN: adjustment of the end value.
a) Zero point calibration
• Connect a calibration source to the input terminal
blocks (U
and GND1) and set a voltage of 0 mV.
(1-7)
• Set the output signal value with the "ZERO" potentiometer:
Voltage output (0...10 V):
Current output (0...20 mA):
Current output (4...20 mA):
b) End value calibration
• Use the calibration source to set the maximum voltage
used in the input voltage range (Table 1).
• Set the output signal value (U
with the SPAN potentiometer.

• Opening the device (Fig. 2)
The lock on the housing top is
released on both sides using a
screwdriver 1. The housing top
and the electronics can now be
pulled out approximately 3 cm 2.
• Jumper adjustment (Fig. 3/4)
Plug the jumpers onto the de-
sired positions for the input volt-
age (Fig. 3) and the position for
the current output (Fig. 4).

Next, close the housing again until
you hear it engage.
A ZERO/SPAN adjustment must
be performed each time the input
or output range is changed.
