When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the

in use and before cleaning.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been
damaged
• in any manner, return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or ad-
justment.
• The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in fire,
electric shock or injury to persons.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a table or counter or touch hot surface.
• Do not place this appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
• Do not use the coffeemaker for other reasons than its intended use.
• The carafe is designed for use with this appliance, do not use it for other purpose.
• Do not place hot carafe on a cold surface.
• The appliance is only used for household, not for commercial use.
• The appliance must not be immersed.
• This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
- staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments
– Farm houses
– By clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments
– Bed and breakfast type environments
