IMPORTANT: Please check all packaging material carefully before discarding as there
may be accessory parts contained within the packaging material.
1. Wash the Carafe, Filter Basket with warm soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
2. Replace parts onto the coffee maker and close the lid. Run a brew cycle with water
only. Do not add coffee to coffee filter.
Attention: First use may cause a slight odor or small smoking upon heating, it is
normal. This is a result of the heating element chemical reaction. It quickly goes away.
3. When the brewing cycle is complete, turn your coffee maker off. Discard the water
that has boiled in the decanter and once it has cooled rinse the decanter, decanter
lid, and filter basket.
Note: We recommend running your coffee maker through one full cycle to clean any
dust inside the appliance.
