5. USE
5.1. ENERGY SAVING TIPS
■
Locate the refrigerator in the coolest area of the room away from heat-producing
appliances or heating ducts and away from direct sunlight.
■
Let hot food cool to room temperature before placing in the refrigerator. Do not
overload the appliance as this forces the compressor to run longer. Foods that
freeze too slowly may lose quality or spoil.
■
Be sure to wrap foods properly and wipe containers dry before placing them in
the refrigerator or freezing compartment. This cuts down on frost build-up in the
appliance.
■
Do not wrap the refrigerator storage bins with aluminium foil, waxed paper,
or paper towelling. Liners interfere with the cold air circulation and make the
appliance less efficient.
■
Organize and label food to reduce door openings and extended searches.
Remove as many items as needed at one time and close the door as soon as
possible.
5.2. REFRIGERATOR CHAMBER
■
The refrigerating chamber is suitable for storing a variety of fruits, vegetables,
beverages, and other foods consumed in the short term. Food can be stored for
3 to 5 days in the refrigerating chamber. Store food according to the positions
described in 3. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION.
■
Do not put hot, cooked food into the refrigerator. Wait until the food has cooled to
room temperature.
■
Seal foods before putting them into the refrigerator.
■
Adjust the glass shelves up or down, as needed, to organize the space for easy
use.
5.3. TEMPERATURE-CONTROL KNOB
■
The temperature-control knob is located on the right-hand side wall of the
refrigerator interior.
■
The lower the number, the higher the temperature and vice versa. The numbers
do not correspond to specific temperatures.
The compressor does not run when the temperature-control knob is set to OFF.
■
■
The recommended setting is 3.
