Description
The devices are used in accordance with EN 361 for fall protection purposes,
meaning they support the user's entire body and restrain it in case of a fall and after
arresting a fall.
It should be noted that, in the event of a fall, there is a possible risk of injury if the
harness is not worn correctly and from the attachment systems on the back.
The devices can also be used as a restraint harness as per EN 358. The side re-
straint eyelets on the hip belt simultaneously secure the user at their workplace
[holding function] or prevent them reaching a point from which they may fall [re-
straining function].
It also functions as a seat belt as per EN 813 to hold the body of the user, who must
be conscious, in a seated position, is used for free-hanging work when suspended
on a line and is frequently used for abseiling.
It is important to note that the user must be in appropriate physical and mental con-
dition to enable them to carry additional weight [e.g. respirator] using their own mus-
cle power.
