3.2 - Signals
HSDIM21 is equipped with 1 led (L1 - fig. 2) and a warning
buzzer.
The low battery signal is activated 15-30 days in advance
before they are totally discharged. However, the batteries
should be replaced as soon as possible after this signal.

4 - BATTERY REPLACEMENT
Caution! – Never use new battery models different from
the specified version. The batteries must all be replaced
at the same time (with new ones). Never combine batter-
ies of different brands or models. Never use recharge-
able batteries.
Caution! – Before detaching the detector from the sup-
port bracket, the control unit must be set to "CONTROL
UNIT TEST " mode to prevent improper tampering alarm
signals.
01. To detach the detector from the support bracket, use the
relative release lever (fig. 4).
02. Slide the detector by approx. 5 mm upwards to move it
away from the support (fig. 4).

When the batteries are partially discharged, correct alarm
signals are not always guaranteed.
03. Open the housing by loosening the 4 rear screws (fig. 6);
04. Open the battery compartment as shown in fig. 7 and
replace the batteries. Observe the specified polarity.
05. Close the housing by tightening the 4 rear screws (fig. 9)
and connect the HSDIM21 to the fixing bracket (fig. 10).
5 - BATTERY DISPOSAL
Caution! – The batteries used in this alarm system, also if
discharged, contain pollutant substances and therefore must
not be disposed of as household waste. Dispose of accord-
ing to separate waste collection procedures as envisaged by
local current standards.
