The customer has the following choice:
1.) Repair of the device or
2.) Replacement device within 12 months after the purchase date during the
24-month guarantee period.
Individual repair then carried out thereafter.
1. Central repair (ISC):
The dealer requests that the device be picked up by the free-of-charge collec-
tion service (Tel.: 0180 500 0535, Fax: 0180 500 0235). The repair is carried
out at CM/ASA3.
End users also have the option to use a repair and collection service available
at www.blaupunkt.de.
2. Exchange:
The dealer (with customer no.) orders an exchange device from CM/ASA4
(Fax: 0180 500 6660). CM/ASA4 sends an exchange device within 24 hours
as an advance replacement. The dealer replaces the device in the customer's
vehicle, notifies the free-of-charge collection service, and sends the rejected
device together with the radio pass and a precise description of the fault back
to CM/ASA4.
CM/ASA4 passes on the faulty devices to CM/ASA3 for reconditioning.
If the defect in a returned exchange device is shown to have been caused by a
third party, the device will be reconditioned at the expense of the sender. If this
is not possible, the sender will be invoiced for the replacement part price.
Repair that is subject to a charge is carried out at CM/ASA3 (ISC) according to
outlay.
A level repair procedure / exchange procedure is arranged as the service
method.
Level repair:
Simple repairs such as AF faults, module exchange: CD drive, design compo-
nents, switch board with display, etc. are carried out by NSC/RSC. The repair
should be carried out within 48 hours (2 working days from receipt of goods).
Exchange procedure:
In the case of exchange, the NSC/RSC orders an exchange device from CM/
ASA4. CM/ASA4 sends an exchange device with an invoice for the replace-
ment part price to NSC/RSC. If the faulty device arrives at CM within 2 weeks,
the difference between the replacement part price and exchange price is
credited. During the guarantee period, NSC/RSC invoices the charged ex-
change price via BWS.
