•
Before any work on the equip-
ment, during work breaks and
in the case of non-use, remove
the plug from the socket.
•
Mains connection cables must
not have a cross-section that
is smaller than those of rub-
ber hoses with the designation
H07RN-F.
Initial Operation
Setting up
•
Place the device on a solid, horizontal
base which is also safe from flooding.
•
If you would like to install the device,
screw it together with the base. A
screw connection with a fastening plate
also prevents the device from slipping.
By doing so, ensure a free access to
the drain screw (
•
In principle, place the device higher
than the water surface out of which
you would like to pump.
If this is not possible, install a vacuum
resistant shut-off unit between the de-
vice and the suction line (available at
specialised traders or DIY stores).
Mains Connection
The pump you have purchases is already
fitted with an earthed plug. The equipment
is designed for connection to an earthed
wall socket with a residual current operat-
ed device (RCD switch) at 230 V ~ 50Hz.
•
Connect the mains connection cable
(
8) to the power supply.
9).
Connecting the lines
Please use a suction device with
a suction filter, strainer and check
valve so that water does not enter
the switched off pump and in order
to prevent damages to the pump
caused by contaminations.
•
Do not use any connection systems
with quick connectors on the suction
side.
•
The suction line can either be a pipe-
line or a flexible hose assembly. It
must have a minimum cross-section
of 25 mm. In the case of fixed pipe-
lines or a suction height of more than
4 m, the use of larger cross-section is
recommended.
•
Lay the suction line rising from the
withdrawal of water to the pump (see
image
).
•
When assembling the suction and
pressure line make sure that no me-
chanical pressure or tension is placed
on the device. Please ask your spe-
cialist trader.
1.
Remove the cover cap (1) at the
water inlet (2).
2.
Assemble the suction line at the
supports of the water inlet (2)
(1" internal thread) Screw this
down until it is airtight.
3.
Remove the cover cap (4) at the
water outlet (5).
4.
Assemble the suction line at the
supports of the water outlet (5)
(1" internal thread) Screw this
down until it is airtight.
The function of the garden pump is
not guaranteed through air in the
suction line.
