The status of the switch contact (alarm signal) is monitored in
the process transmitter and output via the HART

For the monitoring element to change the status of the switch
contact, the specified set point must be reached for at least 1.5
seconds. This prevents shocks or vibrations from triggering the
alarm signal unintentionally.
