• The user is not required to lead with a specific limb during ascent.
Incline - Descent
• The device will gradually lower forefoot during descent to accommodate the angle of the incline.
• The user is not required to lead with a specific limb during descent.
Stair Ascent
• The device will raise the forefoot during stair ascent.
• Leading with the sound side upstairs will provide stair adaptation after first prosthetic step.
• Leading with the prosthetic side upstairs will provide stair adaptation after second prosthetic step.
• On completion of stair ascent and stepping onto level ground, device will adapt to level ground after one stride.
Note: User should consult practitioner if abnormal socket pressure is felt during stair ambulation. Stair response
can be altered using the Össur Logic mobile app (see "Accompanying Software" section) to minimize socket
pressures.
Stair Descent
• User must be aware that device will raise forefoot during stair descent.
• User should place entire foot on step. Doing so allows more stable descent compared to non-microprocessor-
controlled ankle systems.
• When descending, stair adaptation occurs after second prosthetic step.
• When reaching bottom of stairs, device will adapt to level ground after one stride.
Note: User should consult practitioner if abnormal socket pressure is felt during stair ambulation. Stair response
can be altered using the Össur Logic mobile app (see "Accompanying Software" section) to minimize socket
pressures.
Sitting
• Use the Össur Logic mobile app to configure the Relax Mode function (see "Accompanying Software" section).
• Relax Mode fully lowers forefoot, improving body symmetry to sound limb when sitting.
• Tap foot on ground in Relax Mode to revert the device to a neutral state.
• Relax Mode is OFF by default.
Chair-Exit
• Chair Exit Mode function can be configured using the Össur Logic mobile app (see "Accompanying Software"
section).
• With Chair Exit Mode enabled, exiting Relax Mode will cause the device to move automatically into Chair Exit
Mode. The device will raise the forefoot, allowing the user to bring the leg further back, for more controlled
transition from sitting to standing. The device will return to a neutral state after the first step.
• With Chair Exit Mode enabled, flexing the knee and placing the foot beneath the chair will allow ankle angle
adjustment to take place.
• Tap foot on ground in Relax or Chair Exit Mode to revert it to a neutral state.
Note: With Chair Exit Mode enabled, but Relax Mode disabled, user must first extend the leg to enter Chair Exit
Mode.
Standing
• The device operates like a normal energy-storing and energy-returning foot while standing.
• Flexing the hip and placing the device in front of the sound foot will activate Relax Mode, lowering the forefoot
when standing.
• Extending hip from the flexed position will revert ankle to a neutral state.
Kneeling
• Kneeling will activate Relax Mode. Both knee and shin will rest in a less stressful position with reduced knee
flexion.
