RRU-UNV
Introduction
The Remote Relay Unit (RRU-UNV) is listed in accordance to UL
924 as "Emergency Lighting and Power Equipment." The RRU-
UNV shall be used with Greengate CKM Panels and iLumin SC
Panels.
The RRU-UNV is a device that monitors a normal power
circuit. Upon sensing loss of power to its monitored circuit,
it is designed to force all relays/dimmers in the connected
Greengate CKM Panels and iLumin SC Panels to an ALL ON
or ALL OFF state regardless of the control panel status. This
allows the closure of relays and forces all dimmers to an all on
state during loss of normal power to allow emergency power
systems to feed lighting loads. Once the relay senses the power
returning, the panel will return to normal operation. The RRU-
UNV is a universal voltage relay rated for 120-277VAC use.

powered from an emergency power source in order for
the RRU-UNV to operate properly.
The LED on the mother board will show an overridden state
when the RRU-UNV triggers a closure through the external
connection.
IMPORTANT: Line voltage input to the RRU-UNV must be
from the NORMAL power source.
RRU-UNV Greengate CKM Wiring Information
1.
Ensure that the lighting panel is fed from an emergency
circuit.
2.
Connect the RRU-UNV' s dry contact wires (#4 and #5 into
the provided terminal block. To force all relays ON, connect
to the ON and +24V position. To force all relays OFF,
connect to the OFF and +24V position. #4 and #5 wires are
not polarity sensitive, please cap off #3 wire.
3.
Connect the RRU-UNV to the normal power monitoring
circuit. Wire the neutral wire to the #2 white wire. Wire
the hot to the #1 black wire.

Mounting Information

It is recommended that the RRU-UNV be mounted below the
lighting panel enclosure in a listed junction box and connected
through conduit for the low voltage wire connection into the
iLumin SC panels contact closure terminal.
