Mounting Schüco modules
The solar module frame must be attached to a support
structure.
The module may be attached to the support structure from
below via mounting holes in the frame using stainless steel
hardware in a minimum of four (4) places symmetrical on the
solar module. The frame of each module has 4 mounting holes.
The hardware should be tightened with an applied torque of 15
- 20 Newton-meters.
The mounting hardware consisting of 8 mm stainless steel bolts
(1.0), stainless steel washer (1.2) and stainless steel nut (1.1),
see figure 2 below.

The modules have been evaluated for a maximum positive or
negative design load as follows:
snow 5400 Pa
wind 2400 Pa
Two mounting approaches are commonly employed:
Stand-off Method: The modules are supported parallel to
the surface of the building wall or roof. Clearance between
the module frames and surface of the wall or roof may be
required to prevent damage to the wiring or junction box and is
recommended to allow air to circulate behind the module. The
recommended stand-off height is 115 mm.
Rack Method: The supporting frame is used to mount modules
at the proper tilt angles. The modules are not designed for
integral mounting as part of a roof or wall. The mounting design
may have an impact on the fire resistance.

Installation and electrical connection
90°
Observe the electrical ratings of all the equipment in the
system.
Beside the Junction box with integrated bypass diodes, the
module is equipped with MC-T4 plugs and sockets or 100%
compatible plugs and sockets.
The plug-in connections must be fully fitted and
secured.
Fix the cable on the module frame or installation system.
Only MC-T4 compatible plug-in connectors and special solar
cables can be used to lengthen the module connector cables.
These have to meet the electrical requirements of the designed
interconnection.
Under certain conditions, a photovoltaic
module is likely to produce more current
and / or voltage than reported at standard
test conditions. Accordingly the values of
I
SC
be multiplied by a factor of 1,25 when
determining component voltage ratings,
conductor current ratings, fuse sizes, and
size of controls connected to the PV output.
Voltages must be adjusted for the maximum and minimum
ambient temperatures at the installation site. It is important
to prevent the maximum system voltage from exceeding the
rating of the equipment and to ensure that the maximum power
point remains within the allowable range of the inverter.

Do not expose the module to
sunlight during installation;
cover the front of the module
with opaque material.
Ensure module is aligned in the
best available tilt and oriention.
