ATS Front Panel
Parts Of The Ats Control Unit
1. Indicator light of load supplied by the mains.
2. Indicator light of load supplied by the generator.
3. Indicator light when the ATS system is on. It will turn on when
the switch (5) is in "I" (AUTO).
4. Emergency indicator light.
5. On/off switch of the ATS system.
6. Mains connection.
7. Connection to load circuit.
8. Connection to the socket of the generator.
9. Ground connection.
10. ATS control connector between the control unit and the generator.
11. Transmission cable for control over ATS.

Connection of generator with ATS (single-phase)
Connect the ATS control cable
between the generator and
the ATS control unit.
Connect the mains cable.
Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS)
1- As the mains supply becomes interrupted, ATS will start the generator
automatically in 10 seconds.
2- If the supply is reestablished, ATS will transfer to the mains supply
automatically, and it will stop the generator after 10 seconds in order to avoid
any damages to the machine as a result of a sudden stop.
3- If the generator is not started after the third attempt, the "ALARM" indicator
will turn on. Do not attempt to start the generator again to reset the ATS, unless
the generator has been checked and repaired. Such an indicator is adequate
only for ATS single-phase, single-voltage generators and ATS silent three-phase
generators. ATS single-phase, bi-voltage generators do not have alarm
indicators.
4- For ATS single-phase, bi-voltage generators, the ATS output voltage is equal
to the input voltage (mains current) when the generator is stopped. When the
generator is started, the ATS output voltage will change with the voltage switch.
(When the voltage switch returns to 120 V~, the ATS output voltage will do it
too); when the voltage switch returns to 240 V~ the ATS output will be 240 V~ In
this moment, the ATS output voltage has nothing to do with the input voltage of
the mains.) Therefore, the voltage position is highly important.
