1. Remove the air filter cover (05/1) by pressing
the locking tabs (05/2) and removing the air
filter cover.
2. Remove the filter (05/3) and knock it out
against a hard surface until the dirt has been
removed. Do not brush out!
3. Reinstall the filter.
4. Fit the air filter cover again and close it, clip-
ping in the locking tabs.
Tech 160 (12)
Clean the air filter regularly.
Replace the air filter if damaged.
1. Unscrew the two screws (12/1) of the air filter
cover (12/2) and remove the air filter cover.
2. Remove the filter (12/3) and knock it out
against a hard surface until the dirt has been
removed. Do not brush out!
3. Reinstall the filter.
4. Fit the air filter cover again and secure it with
the two screws.

Changing the oil (06, 13)

Check the oil level regularly. Check the oil level
every 5 operating hours or every day before start-
ing the engine.
WARNING! Danger of explosion and fire.
Escaping fuel creates an explosive petrol/air mix-
ture. Deflagration, explosion and fire can lead to
serious and even fatal injuries if fuel is not han-
dled properly.
Empty the fuel tank before draining the oil.
NOTE Contact our customer service if you
cannot carry out work yourself.
NOTE
Drain off the old oil when the engine is warm.
Warm oil runs out quickly and fully.
Dispose of used oil in an eco-friendly man-
ner!
Tech 140 (06)
NOTE The oil capacity for the engine is
max. 0.45 l.
1. Drain the fuel tank.
2. To remove the fuel from the carburettor: Start
the engine outdoors and let it run until it
stops.
3. Allow the engine to cool down.
4. Remove the spark plug connector (01/5).

5. Unscrew the oil dipstick (03/2).
6. Extract the oil using the pump from the ser-
vice kit (option: Item No.: 106118) (06/1) and
drain it into the container (06/2) of the service
kit.
7. Fill with new oil (SAE 30, fill volume: 0.45 l)
using a funnel Filling with engine oil (04).
8. Check that the level has reached the MAX
(03/4) mark.
9. Insert the oil dipstick and screw tight.
10. Remove any spilled oil.
Tech 160 (13)
NOTE The oil capacity for the engine is
max. 0.5 l.
1. Drain the fuel tank.
2. To remove the fuel from the carburettor: Start
the engine outdoors and let it run until it
stops.
3. Allow the engine to cool down.
4. Remove the spark plug connector (08/5).
5. Unscrew the oil dipstick (13/2).
6. Place a collecting container (13/3) for the old
oil beneath.
7. Tilt the engine over the collecting container
so that all of the oil can drain out of the oil fill-
er opening (13/4).
8. Fill with new oil (SAE 30, fill volume: 0.5 l)
Filling with engine oil (04).
9. Check that the level has reached the MAX
(10/3) mark.
10. Insert the oil dipstick and screw tight.
11. Remove any spilled oil.

Servicing the spark plug (02, 09)

Prescribed spark plug type: TORCH F6RTC
IMPORTANT! Danger of engine damage.
Operating the engine with the incorrect spark
plug or without a spark plug will result in serious
engine damage!
Always use the specified spark plug type.
Never try to start the engine without a spark
plug.
1. Unscrew the spark plug (02/1) or (09/1) using
a socket wrench.
2. Clean the electrodes (02/2) or (09/2) using a
metal brush and remove any soot deposits.
