To configure the mouse for right- or
left-handed operation
1 Click MORE, and then click System Settings.
2 Click Presets in the list on the left.
3 Click User Profile.
4 On the User Profile setup page, select Right
Handed or Left Handed from the Mouse
Operation list.
To access controls using the mouse buttons
in the right-handed configuration
Do either of the following:
• To select, press the left mouse button.
• To freeze or unfreeze, press the right mouse
button.

Do either of the following:
• To select, press the right mouse button.
• To freeze or unfreeze, press the left mouse
button.
Control panel and clinical
displays
When you use X-Porte Desktop, you can view the
control panel display or the clinical display on the
clinical monitor, but not both at the same time. The
clinical display appears by default.
Control panel display
The control panel display shows the ultrasound
image and lets you access all controls and system
settings, except for the Save Image, Save Image &
Calcs, and the Save Video Clip controls.
Clinical display
The clinical display shows the ultrasound image,
patient information, measurement and calculation
information, system information, system status, and
these controls:
• Four custom controls, two of which must be Save
Image and Save Video Clip (see
images and video clips"
to save images or video clips.
• Depth controls
• Near Gain, far Gain, and overall Gain sliders
• Control Panel
• Freeze and Unfreeze
• Video clip controls in Review
Note: When you freeze an image, the system displays
the control panel display.
To switch between the control panel display
and the clinical display
Do one of the following:
• To switch from the control panel display to
the clinical display, press the scroll up button
on the mouse.
• To switch from the clinical display to the
control panel display, do any of the
following:
• Press the scroll down button on the mouse.
• Click Control Panel
• Freeze the image.
Note: In a form that obscures the ultrasound image
completely on the control panel display, such as the
patient form, patient list, or worksheets, you cannot
use the mouse scroll buttons to switch to the clinical
display.
