PREMISES VENTILATION
(Prescriptions taken from standard uni7129 )
The premises where the appliances of type
B are installed can use direct ventilation (air
inlets directly on the outside) and indirect
ventilation (air inlets on near by premises)
as long as all conditions indicated below are
complied with.
DIRECT VENTILATION
To install the appliances of type B, the fol-
lowing conditions must be complied with:
•
the premises must have an opening
equal to 6 cm2 for every kW installed,
and never below 100 cm2, directly practi-
ced on the wall to the outside;
•
the opening must be as close as possible
to the height of the fl oor, non-blockable
and protected by a grid that does not re-
duce the useful air passage section.
IMPORTANT!
•
Correct ventilation can also be obtained
through more openings, as long as the
total of the various sections, corresponds
to the required one.
•
Should it not be possible to realise the
opening near the fl oor, increase the sec-
tion of the opening by at least 50%.

•
In case of other elements inside the pre-
mises requiring air for their functioning,
the section of the ventilation opening
must be suitably dimensioned (e.g. for
electric fans, see table at the side).
•
The suction hood must be considered an
electric fan.
•
An open fl ue must have its own air sup-
