Safety regulations

These instructions contain important sections dealing with safety.
Special attention must be paid to all framed safety text that begins with a warning symbol (triangle) followed
by a signal word, as shown below

Also observe the following general safety rules:
• Before starting the machine, read through these instructions carefully.
• For reasons of product safety, the machine must not be modified.
• Use approved personal protective equipment.
• Use Atlas Copco Genuine Parts only.
Safety – yours and other people's
All hydraulic equipment can be hazardous. When
a hydraulic powerpack is correctly operated and
properly maintained, it is a safe machine to work
with. But when correct operation and maintenance
routines are not followed, the machine can be a
danger to you (the operator) and others.
In this handbook and on the machine you will find
warning messages. Read and understand them.
They tell you of potential hazards and how to avoid
them. If you do not understand the warning
messages, ask your employer or A/C Dealer to
explain them.

Operating safety

WARNING
Hydraulic Tools
Hydraulic tools can be dangerous. Observe
all safety instructions relevant to the tool
you will be operating. If in any doubt,
consult your A/C Dealer.

life-threatening injuries if the warning is not observed.
denotes a risk or risky procedure which CAN lead to personal injury or damage
to equipment if the caution is not observed.

WARNING
Exhaust Gases
Breathing the machine exhaust gases can
harm and possibly kill you. Do not operate
the machine in closed spaces without
making sure there is good ventilation.

CAUTION
Sparks
Explosions and fire can be caused by sparks
from the exhaust or the electrical system. Do
not use the machine in a closed area where
there is flammable material, vapour or dust.

WARNING
Hot Surfaces
Under normal working conditions the engine
components, particularly the exhaust
system, will get hot – DO NOT TOUCH.
The hydraulic oil, pump, valve and tank can
also reach temperatures high enough to
burn – DO NOT TOUCH.

WARNING
Noise
Excessive noise can be hazardous to your
health. Always wear ear defenders when
operating the machine.
