General information
Read the operating instructions and act accor-
dingly.
Keep them for general use.
Comply with the safety information and the
warning on the appliance.
General safety information
Children or people who do are not acquainted
with the operating instructions are not allowed
to use the device.
Local regulations can also stipulate the mini-
mum age for users.
Only use the aerator on grass which has dried.
Only work in daylight or sufficiently good artifi-
cial light.
You are not allowed to use the appliance if the-
re are people, in particular children or animals,
in the working area.
The user of the appliance is responsible for
accidents with other people or their property.
Preparatory measures
Wear suitable working clothes and solid shoes.
Before using the appliance, always make a
visual check of fitting parts (screws, nuts) and
the cutting unit (wear, damage).
Damaged or worn parts must be replaced
immediately – only use original spare parts.
Only use the appliance in the technical state
prescribed by the manufacturer.
Do not put safety devices or safety appliances
out of operation.
Before aerating, all foreign bodies must be
removed from the lawn. Also pay attention to
foreign bodies during the aerating.

Petrol is highly flammable!
Store petrol in designated containers only.
Fill up with petrol outdoors only. Do not smoke
while filling up with petrol!
Do not open the tank cap or refill with petrol
while the engine is running or when the machi-
ne is hot.
If petrol overflows, do not start the engine. Cle-
an the unit and do not start the engine until the
petrol vapours have dispersed.
For reasons of safety replace a damaged petrol
tank and/or tank cap.
When filling up with petrol, use a funnel or fil-
ling tube to prevent fuel from running onto the
engine, the housing or the lawn.
Risk of burns!

The exhaust and the areas around the
exhaust may rise to a temperature of
80 °C.
Replace damaged mufflers.
Do not change the governor settings of the
engine.
Never leave a combustion engine running in
closed areas. Risk of poisoning!
Operation
In order to start the appliance, the cutting devi-
ce must be completely free to move.
Do not put hands and feet in the vicinity of
rotating parts.
The use of the appliance is only permitted if the
safety distance provided by the guide bar is
complied with.
Keep the exhaust and engine free of leaves,
grass and any spilt oil.
Ensure that you have a good stand, especially
on slopes.
Only guide the machine at walking pace.
Do not aerate on steep slopes.
