Location Selection
1. Select a place with a strong, level floor.
2. Avoid direct sunlight and heat. Direct sunlight may affect the coating. Heat
sources nearby will cause higher electricity consumption. Extreme cold
ambient temperatures may also cause the freezer not to perform properly.
3. Place your freezer on a floor that is strong enough to support the freezer when
it is fully loaded. To level your freezer, adjust the leveling legs at the bottom of
the unit.
4. Allow 5 inches of space between the back and sides of the unit, which allows
the proper air circulation to cool the compressor and condenser.
5. Avoid locating the unit in moist areas.
6. Plug the unit into an exclusive properly installed-grounded wall outlet. Do not
under any circumstances cut or remove the third (ground) prong from the
power cord. Any questions concerning power and/or grounding should be
directed toward a certified electrician.
GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance must be grounded. In the event of an electrical short circuit,
grounding reduces the risk of electrical shock by providing an escape wire for the
electrical current. This appliance is equipped with a cord having a grounding wire
with a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an outlet that is properly
installed and ground.
WARNING - Improper use of the grounding plug can result in a risk of
electric shock. Consult a qualified electrician or service person if the grounding
instructions are not completely understood, or if doubt exists as to whether the
appliance is properly grounded.
