Installation of FALL SAFE® "S-Line Vertix" on ladder
Central Installation on ladder
1) Position the Top/Bottom anchor FS-LDV-3001 on the two steps on the upper part of the
ladder. Fix the two counter plates using four bolts (Ø 12 x 90) and tighten them using a
spanner N°19, with torque of 50/55 Nm.
2) Position another Top/Bottom anchor FS-LDV-3001 on the two steps on the lower part of
the ladder. Fix the two counter plates using four bolts (Ø 12 x 90) and tighten them using
a spanner N°19, with torque of 50/55 Nm.
3) If necessary, prepare some steel rope guide FS-LDV-3004 at a maximum distance of 8
m one from the other and/or from the anchor points. Install the guide bracket using the
counter plate using four bolts (Ø 12 x 90) and tighten them using a spanner N°19, with
torque of 50/55 Nm.
4) To install the cable at the top anchor FS-LDV-3001, open the maillon and go through the
opening in the anchor. Tighten the maillon with a spanner Nº14, with torque of 3,0 Nm.
5) Pass the other end of the steel cable FS-LDV-7198 through the tensioner FS-LDV-3003
and tighten with 3 wire rope clamp spaced about 10cm with torque of 4,2 Nm.
6) Fix the tensioner to the anchor, remove the pin from the tensioner and position it at the
anchoring point, passing the pin again to fix it. Rotate the tensioner to tension the cable
by 1kN, optional use tension meter.
