Charging the Battery
1. Plug the monitor into an AC outlet receptacle.
2. Under normal use conditions, it may take approximately five (5) hours
to fully charge the battery.
• T he yellow
and green

symbols on the right hand side of the monitor indicate when
the battery is charging and/or fully charged (shown only when
operating on AC power).
• T he green
indicator light above the Battery Fully Charged

symbol is the most reliable indicator that the battery is fully charged.
• T he battery indicator bars
when operating on battery power) approximate the amount of charge remaining.
• P lug the device into AC power when the battery indicator shows one red bar remaining
Replacing the Battery
The lithium ion battery should be replaced every two (2) years or when a fully charged battery will not operate the
device for at least two (2) hours. the battery must be replaced by a Hutchison technology qualified service
technician. Contact the Service Center to return the device for this service.

Hutchinson Technology Incorporated may provide software updates in order to increase the usability of the
