AXIS T85 PoE+ Network Switch Series
1. Use the drill template and mark the mounting holes.
2. Drill the mounting holes
3. Attach the switch to the wall using screws appropriate to the wall material.
Installation steps
1. Connect a standard network cable to one of the RJ45 ports (non-PoE) on the product.
2. Connect the other end of the cable to a computer.
3. Connect the power cord to the product.
4. Connect the other end of the power cord to a standard AC outlet. The System LED lights
up and confirms that the device is powered up successfully.
5. Use AXIS IP Utility or AXIS Camera Management to find the product on the network.
6. Use the user name and password on the product label to enter the product.
7. Follow the instructions on the screen.
Important
Only use the supplied power cord to power the product.
Note
For security purposes, it is recommended that the default password is changed.
Install SFP Modules
It is possible to install or remove a mini-GBIC SFP module from a SFP slot without having to power
off the product. The SFP slots are shared with the RJ45 ports (non-PoE).
Important
If a mini-GBIC is installed in, the associated RJ45 port (non-PoE) is disabled and cannot
be used. Make sure the network cable is not connected to a RJ45 port (non-PoE) when
you install or remove a mini-GBIC.
1. Insert the module into the SFP slot.
2. Press firmly to ensure that the module seats into the connector.
Power notice
The product is a power-required device, which means it does not work until it is powered. To avoid
network data loss or network downtime, consider using an UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply).
Installing a surge suppression device may also help to protect the product from being damaged by
unregulated surge or current to the product or the power cord.
