5. INSTALLATION

5.1 CONNECTION TO THE MAIN SUPPLY
This unit must be connected to a single-phase 230V - 50 Hz/60 Hz + ground.
Main supply must be protected by fuses or circuit breaker according to the value I1eff written on the specifications of the power
source.
It is strongly suggested to use a differential protection for the operator's safety.

5.2 CONNECTION TO EARTH

For the operator's protection, the power source must be correctly grounded (according to the International Protection Norms).
It is absolutely necessary to set a good earth connection with the green/yellow wire of the power cable. This will avoid
discharges caused by accidental contacts with grounded pieces. If no earth connection has been set, a high risk of electric shock
through the chassis of the unit remains possible.

6. FUNCTIONS

6.1 MMA WELDING (coated electrode)
- Make the necessary connections to mains and earth as described in "Installation". Connect the earth and electrode holder
cables to welding plugs + (positive) and - (negative) according to electrode polarity. If necessary, read attentively the electrode
manufacturer instructions.
- Switch on the welding set on the ON/OFF switch.
- The overheating led indicator lights during a second if no failure has been found.
- The Power ON led indicator lights on, machine is connected and under voltage.
A - MMA welding process selection (coated electrode):
With machine connected, select MMA at the selector.
B - Welding current - Adjust welding current by means of the welding current adjusting knob, according to the following table:
∅ 2,0
∅ 2,5
∅ 3,2
∅ 4,0
∅ 5,0
∅ 6,0

200 - 360
6.2 -TIG WELDING
TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) is an arc welding process under protective gas
Argon or argon mixtures) by means of a Tig torch fitted
(
with a tungsten electrode with 3000ºC fusion point. It can be performed with or without filling metal.
This DC arc process replace with many advantages the oxyacetylene welding process. It is used for steel, stainless steel,
copper, brass welding with the exception to the aluminum and his alloys which needs AC current. Under specific cases, also
replaces the MMA arc welding or Mig welding especially when a good finishing seam is suitable.
A – TIG welding mode selection - Select TIG 4T or TIG 2T on the selector.
2T (2 times) welding mode:
