ELECTRIC CONNECTION

CAUTION!
For greater safety, qualified personnel
should check out the electrical system. The
water heater manufacturer is not responsi-
ble for any damage caused by inadequate
grounding of the system or supply anoma-
lies.
Check that the supply system is adequa-
te to the water heater electric rating as
shown on the number plate and that the
section of the cables is adequate to the
current taken by the heater (we suggest
a cable type H05 VV-F 3x0,75).
The connections to the electrical sup-
ply system must be permanent and not
use plugs and sockets. There must be
a two-pole switch with contact aperture
of at least 3mm.
It is absolutely to avoid the devices
to connect to the electricity grid, a
mountain of the water heater, do not
give originated from false contacts
or anything else that could determine
dangerous sparkles for the electronics
of the equipment.
The water heater requires alternating
current as shown in the Technical Data
Table, which Table also shows the maxi-
mum current taken.
IMPORTANT !!
If an ignition problem arises on the water
heater, this may be due to incorrect pola-
rity. In this case, invert the connections of
the supply cable to the two-pole switch.
Replacing the electric s,upply cable
If you replace the electric supply cable,
you must use only cables having the
same characteristics, and replace the ca-
38
ble as follows:
• Unscrew the six screws that fasten the
lower cover
• Cut the cable tie that joins the supply
cable to the gas valve cable/connector
• Slacken the cable grommet screws
• Slacken the screws on the terminal strip
to which the supply cable is connected
(yellowgreen "
• Pull out the supply cable
• Insert the new supply cable through the
cable grommet and its rubber sleeve
and then connect to the terminal strip
INPUT
SUPPLY CABLE
• Fasten the cables to the terminal strip
as follows:
a) yellow-green cable to the terminal
marked with the ground symbol "
this cable being at least two centime-
tres longer than the blue and brown ca-
bles
b) blue cable to the terminal marked
with the letter "N"
c) brown cable to the terminal marked
with the letter "L"
• Tighten the two cable grommet screws
• Join the supply cable to the gas valve
cable/ connector using a self tightening
cable tie
• Refit the lower cover with the six screws
making sure you insert the rubber ca-
ble sleeve correctly in its seat.
