Malfunctions
Faults affecting the operation of the TSL 230 may occur in the course of normal working. The following table lists
possible faults not requiring expert attention.

To take action as quickly as possible it is important to quote the details on the rating plate (label on back of the
TSL 230) and the nature of the problem when calling.

Work on the electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic system must be performed only by appropriately trained and
briefed personnel.

Contact customer service if the problem persists.
Faults
Control pedal
TSL 230 does not rise or does not return into
idle position after the control pedal has been acti-
vated.
TSL 230 does not remain in position.
Moveable lift
The lifting and the lowering speed of the moveable
lift is lower than the speed indicated by the manu-
facturer.

Remedy
R Check whether the tire changing machine is properly connected to the com-
pressed air system.
R Make sure that the system pressure is not below the minimum machine op-
erating pressure value of the tire changing machine.
R Set the machine operating pressure at the filter assembly to the values rec-
ommended by the manufacturer of the tire changing machine.
R Possible fault at the activation valve. Contact customer service for a replace-
ment.
R Possible fault at the pneumatic cylinder. Contact customer service for a re-
placement.
R Possible fault at the activation valve.
R Possible fault at the pedal's return spring.
Contact custoemr service for a replacement.
R Check whether the tire changing machine is properly connected to the com-
pressed air system.
R Check if the pressure air connection of the TSL 230 on the machine is
correct.
R Adjust the lifting/lowering speed as described in the section "Adjusting the
lifting and lowering speed".
R Make sure that the weight of the wheel corresponds with the manufactur-
er's information provided in the section "Technical data".
