DETAIL OF BLACK CAP

8.5 Overheating protection

OKSOL integrates Drain Back technology (self-draining) in its primary circuit in order to protect the
system against potential over-temperature situations.
In case of long absence in the months with less DHW demands (summer,...) the storage tank must
not be emtied.
The system can be covered with an opaque and safe canvas that's prevents the collector from the
solar radiation.

8.6 Freezing protection

8.6.1 Primary solar circuit
In the same way that Drain Back technology (self-draining) protects the primary circuit against
overheating, it is also protected against situations of potential freezing, since when the pump is not
running all the heat transfer fluid is emptied by gravity, and is collected and protected in an inner
storage tank.
The heat transfer fluid of this primary circuit also contains a percentage of propylene glycol of 25%.
