For 115 V units with a power rating exceeding 1500 W,
we recommend to fit a plug to BS4343 standard.
Using an extension cable
If an extension cable is required, use an approved
extension cable suitable for the power input of this
tool (see technical data). The minimum conductor size
is 1.5 mm

Clamping the workpiece in position (fig. C, F & G)
Your Elu chopsaw is equipped with a material
clamp (6).
• Pull the lever (19) in the direction of the arrow (15).
• Push the clamp shaft (13) forward until the jaw
(14) is almost touching the workpiece.
• Press the lever (19) in the direction of arrow (16)
until it engages with the clamp shaft (13).
• Rotate the handle (17) clockwise and clamp the
workpiece securely.
• To release the workpiece, rotate the handle (17)
counterclockwise.
• To increase the cutting capacity, place a
spacer block (26) under the workpiece
(25). The spacer block should be slightly
narrower than the workpiece (fig. F).
• Support long workpieces using a piece
of wood (27) (fig. G). Do not clamp the
cut off end (28).
Quick travel feature (fig. C)
The clamp has a quick travel feature.
• To release the clamp, rotate the handle (17) one
or two turns counterclockwise and pull the lever
(19) in the direction of the arrow (15).
Setting the clamping position (fig. C)
The clamping position can be set to match the
cutting disc.
• Move the clamp lever (18) in the direction of the
arrow (15) to release the fence.
• Move the fence as required.
• Move the clamp lever (18) in the direction of the
arrow (16) to lock the fence.
If the clamp lever resistance is too light,
slightly tighten the two adjusting bolts on
the fence.
Adjusting the angle of cut (fig. D)
This Elu chopsaw can be used for mitre cuts up to 45°.
• Turn the clamp lever (18) counterclockwise to
release the fence.
