INSTRUCTION MANUAL
WARNING:
Before using the equipment, read
carefully all instructions.
1. GENERAL SAFETY FOR OPERATING
THIS EQUIPMENT
- During charging, the batteries emit
explosive gasses: avoid generating
flames and sparks. DO NOT SMOKE.
- Before carrying out the test, position the
batteries in a ventilated place.
- In
order
to
the
vehicles'
read, store safely and scrupulously
observe the instructions provided by
the manufacturers of the vehicles
themselves;
indications supplied by the batteries
manufacturer.
- Keep away from the reach of children.
- Protect the eyes. Always wear protective
goggles when working on lead-acid
batteries.
- Avoid contact with battery acid. Should
anyone be sprayed by or come into
contact with the acid, wash immediately
the part involved with clean water.
Continue to rinse until a doctor will
attend to the person affected.
- It is important to connect the cables
to the correct polarities. Connect the
red clamp (+) to the battery's positive
terminal, the black clamp (-) to the
negative (earth).
- Use this equipment in well ventilated
areas.
- Prevent black and red clamps coming

INTRODUCTION
DESCRIPTION
Digital meter for lead batteries, equipped
with printer (Fig. A). This instrument allows
checking of the state of charging of 6V or
12V lead batteries and their capacity for
starting used in vehicles (SLI batteries).
The minimum and maximum start-up
current values (CCA) that can be set are
to
the following:

EN: 40 ÷ 2000 A
-
IEC: 30 ÷ 1500 A
-
DIN: 25 ÷ 1300 A
-
SAE: 40 ÷ 2000 A

Ambient temperature for correct use of
the meter is comprised between 0°C and
40°C.
3. OPERATION
BEFORE CARRYING OUT THE TEST
- Ensure that the battery terminals are
clean.
- Before testing a vehicle's battery,
remove the ignition key, switch the lights
off, remove all connected accessories
and close the doors and the boot door.
- Make sure that 4 x 1.5V AA-penlight
batteries have been inserted in the
device.
Should
message "INTERNAL BATTERY LOW"
replace the batteries with new ones.
OPERATIONS AND USE
- Connect the red clamp (+) to the
battery's positive pole (Fig. A-5), and
then the black clamp (-) to the negative
pole (Fig. A-4). The display (Fig. A-1)
shows the battery's open circuit voltage.
Language selection
- Press cursors < > (Fig. A-2) to select
from the "LANGUAGE SELECT" menu.
Press "Enter ↵" (Fig. A-3) to confirm.
- Use cursors < > to select the wanted
language. Press "Enter ↵" to confirm the
selection and return to the battery Test.
