Supported by the product's user manual and the inspection log; specific equipment and measuring devices not required. Look over and touch each component of the product in order to detect
faults. If a below-mentioned control point is found to be defective, the device must absolutely not be reused and must be replaced with a compliant device or returned either to Kratos Safety or
to a certified centre for repairs to be completed. The use of this document for periodic inspection is reserved for competent persons.
Visually check the appearance of the Lift Res-Q: it must be possible to inspect it
Shackle:

Check the condition of the shackle; it cannot be deformed, oxidised, cut or worn. It must rotate freely around its axis.
Check that all assembly elements are in place and tight.
Casings:

Check the condition of the casings; they cannot be deformed, broken, cut or worn. Check that all assembly screws and
nuts are in place and tight.
"Eye bolts":

Check the condition of the "pig tails", they must have no slack, nor be deformed, oxidised, cut or worn. Using a wrench,
check the tightness of the pig tail nuts. These must be fixed, they must not turn.
Rope clamps:

Check the condition of the rope clamps, no part should be damaged. Check their operation by pressing on their ends
then releasing them suddenly. They must then rotate around their axes and then automatically return to their original
position.
Rope guides:

Check the condition of the rope guides; they cannot be deformed, broken, cut or worn. No part should be damaged.
Check that the screws are in place and tight.
Functional inspection:

Lightly pull on each strand of the rope. If you feel moderate resistance, the device is working properly. By moderately
pulling on each strand of the machine, they must slide in the direction of pulling.
Now, pull firmly on each strand of the rope independently, if you hear a "CLICK" and the unit exerts more resistance,
then the deceleration system is working properly.
Wheel:

Check the condition of the wheel of the equipment. It should not be deformed, worn or broken. Check that it rotates
fluidly around its axis.
Markings:

Check that markings are present and legible.
Ropes:

Check the rope verification sheet.
Connectors:

Check the connector verification sheet.
Overall Condition:
Evaluate the Overall Condition, keeping the above inspections in mind as well as the product's general
appearance.
