Operation
➤ Before starting up the appliance for the first time, check whether the
operating voltage and the battery voltage match (see type plate).
➤ Make sure that the cable at the positive battery terminal (fig. b 2,
page 8) is protected with a fuse (fig. b 3, page 8):
– F0440, T0440N, F0140, T0140, T22, T32, T56, T82, T162N: 15 A
– T0440F, T162F: 25 A
➤ Plug the 12/24 V connection cable into the DC socket on the cooling con-
tainer (fig. a 2, page 7, not T0440F).
➤ Screw the corresponding ring connections of the 12/24-V connection
cable on to the corresponding 12 V terminals of the cooling container
(fig. a 3 and 4, page 7, only T0440F).
➤ Connect the red cable, or the red terminal (fig. b rt, page 8) to the
positive terminal of the battery (fig. b 2, page 8).
➤ Connect the black cable, or the black terminal (fig. b sw, page 8) to the
negative terminal of the battery (fig. b 2, page 8).
Connecting to a 110-240 V AC mains
Note
You can only operate the cooling/heating container T22 using an
AC current if you connect it using an rectifier (see "Accessories" on
page 35).
All other devices can be connected directly to the AC mains supply.
Caution – danger of electrocution
Never handle plugs and switches with wet hands or if you are
standing on a wet surface.
Caution – danger of electrocution
If you are operating your cooling container on board a boat from a
mains connection of 110-240 V AC, you must install a residual cur-
rent circuit breaker between the 110-240 V AC mains and the
cooling container.
Get advice on this from a qualified specialist.
The cooling container has a built-in multi-voltage mains adapter with a prior-
ity circuit for connecting to a 110-240 V AC supply. The priority circuit auto-
matically switches to mains operation if the appliance is connected to a 110–
240 V AC supply, even if the 12/24 V cable is still connected.
