Installation procedure
Because the unit is charged with refrigerant R410A, pay careful attention to the following notes:
• To prevent a different oil from entering the pipe, please use the special tool prescribed for R410A,
especially for gauge manifold and charging hose.
• To prevent the compressor oil from entering the refrigerant cycle, please use the anti-counter-flow adapter.
D. Check valve operation
Open/close method:
• Remove the valve cap, gas pipe turns to "open"
state as shown in the figure to the right.
• Turn the liquid pipe with a hexangular spanner
until it stops. If the valve is opened forcefully,
it may be damaged.
• Tighten the valve cap.
Tighten torque as shown below:
For gas pipe
For liquid pipe
E. Additional refrigerant charging
Charge the additional refrigerant in liquid state with the gauge.
If the additional refrigerant cannot be charged completely when the outdoor unit stops, charge it during trial.
If the unit runs for a long period without refrigerant, the compressor will fail.
(the charging must be done within 30 minutes especially if the unit is running simultaneously).
The unit is charged only part of the refrigerant at the factory; it requires additional refrigerant on site.
W1: Refrigerant charging volume to outdoor unit at factory.
W2: Refrigerant charging volume to outdoor unit on site.
W3: Refrigerant charging volume to liquid pipe base on different piping length calculations.
W3=actual length of liquid pipe × additional amount per meter liquid pipe=
