Slow Juicer
Tips for Juicing
Cut food items into smaller pieces that will fit easily into the chute of the hopper for
optimal extraction.
DO NOT place ice or frozen fruit into the juicer. Thaw fruit before juicing.
Do not push on the food pusher with excessive force. The food pusher is deigned to
gently push the food down the chute if the food becomes stuck.
Insert food at a regular speed, allowing all the pulp to be extracted.
For maximum efficiency, do not rush this process.
When juicing leafy greens or wheat grass, we suggest that you mix it with fruits or
other hard vegetables (like carrots) for optimal results.
Juice nuts only with other foods such as soaked soybeans or liquids.
The juice from fresh fruit and vegetables is high in nutritional content and is an
important part of a balanced diet.
When selecting fruit and vegetables for juicing, always select fresh and well ripened
items as they have more flavor and juice than those that are not fully ripened.
Juice is best consumed when freshly made as this is when its vitamin and mineral
content is highest.
For better tasting citrus juices remove the inner white peel from the fruit.
A small amount of lemon juice can be added to apple juice to keep it from turning
brown.
This juicer is not suitable for juicing very hard and starchy fruits or vegetables such as
sugar cane.
When juicing fruits and vegetables of different consistency it may help to juice different
consistencies together. For example, juice soft fruit first (i.e. oranges) then follow with
a hard fruit (i.e. apples). This will help achieve maximum juice extraction.
If juicing herbs or leafy vegetables, wrap them together to form a bundle before placing
them in the juice hopper or combine them with other ingredients.
DO NOT put vegetable or animal oil in the juicer (sesame seed, butter, margarine, etc.).
It can reduce the performance of and possibly damage the juicer.
DO NOT try to juice items with no water/juice to extract such as coconut, sugarcane,
whole grains, etc.
