NOTE: When battery power decreases to about 10% remaining, the last bar of the battery level
indicator will start flashing. The flashing will continue until the unit is completely out of battery
power.
3. Using Your Handheld Vacuum Cleaner
1) To detach the handheld vacuum, press the release button and pull the handheld vacuum from
the wand.
2) Insert an accessory tool into the end of the handheld vacuum until it securely clicks into position
(Fig. 15).
3) The accessory attachments can be used directly on the handheld vacuum cleaner or on the
telescopic wand for reaching high locations. If desired, place the tool into the accessory bag for
easy storage.
4) The adaptable utility nozzle can be used with or without the pet hair rake attachment. To
remove the attachment, press the tab on the right side of the adapter and slide it off the utility
nozzle (Fig. 16).
5) Extendable Under Appliance Tool (Only for VSC2502EU)
Pull the locking sleeve back and rotate the tool to locked position at 180 degrees. Make sure
the sleeve clicks into place. For extended reach, pull the end of the tool out until you hear it click
(Fig. 17). To return the extended end back to the tool, press the release button ( ① ) and push the
extended end into the tool.
CAUTION:
remove the battery pack from the vacuum cleaner before any maintenance.
WARNING!

1. Emptying the Dust Bin

NOTE: For best performance, empty dust bin after every use or once dust reaches MAX fill line.
Before emptying the dust bin, ensure the vacuum cleaner is turned off.
1) To detach the vacuum, press the handheld release button and remove the wand from the
handheld vacuum.
2) Position dust bin area of vacuum over a waste receptacle. Press down on the dust bin door
release button to open dust bin lid and allow collected waste to drop into waste receptacle (Fig. 18).
3) If necessary, clean off hair and other debris wrapped around the filter cage. Rotate the filter
cage counterclockwise ( ① ) to remove for cleaning (Fig. 19).
4) Insert filter cage back into dust bin and rotate clockwise ( ② ) to lock. Close dust bin lid until
you hear a click (Fig. 19).

MAINTENANCE

To reduce the risk of electric shock, turn the vacuum cleaner off and
