6.2 Special maintenance
WARNING!
•
Before carrying out any maintenance procedures, disconnect the air supply hose from the tool.
•
Any maintenance procedures not dealt with in this manual should be performed in a CAMPAGNOLA S.r.l. Author-
ised Service Centers.
•
These operations shall be performed while the shear keeps clamped in a vice. The operator must wear suitable
heavy-duty protecting gloves.
Maintenance operations should be performed by qualified mechanics.
6.2.1 General
Before carrying out any maintenance:
•
Wear heavy-duty work gloves.
•
Engage the safety catch (5).
•
Disconnect the air supply hose.
•
Secure the tool in a vice.
6.2.2 Replacing the blades
Follow the instructions below:
a)
Disconnect the compressed air hose from the shear body.
b)
Remove the front cover (17) by unscrewing the two screws (18).
c)
Wear heavy-duty work gloves, then close the blades manually and insert the pin (11), as you can see in the picture, in
order to keep the blades open.
d)
Free the conrod (8) by removing the rivet (12).
WARNING!
As soon as you free the conrod (8), it will get into the shear body automatically. Therefore, it is important that you
keep your hands at a distance.
e)
Unscrew the screws (9-10).
f)
Remove the blades and replace them.
NOTE
In order to re-assemble the blades, please follow the instructions above in reverse.
6.2.3 Disassembling the pneumatic piston
Please follow the instructions:
a)
Disconnect the compressed air hose from the shear body.
b)
Wear heavy-duty work gloves, then close the blades manually and insert the pin (11), as you can see in the picture, in
order to keep the blades open.
c)
Free the conrod (8) by removing the rivet (12).
WARNING!
As soon as you free the conrod (8), it will get into the shear body automatically. Therefore, it is important that you
keep your hands at a distance.
