Change of hygiene kit (B)
1. Remove the old sound absorbing foam and insert the new.
2. Pull off the old ear cushion.
3. Centre the new ear cushion over the hole.
4. Press with a finger along the outside of the ear cushion
until it attaches all around the edges.
5. Pull off the old head cushion and insert the new.

circumference (56-64 cm) and with medium to large
height from the top of the head to the centre of the ear canal.
A smaller height may lead to improper fit and reduce the
hearing protector´s noise attenuation properties."
Earmuffs complying with EN 352-3 are of medium size range
or small size range or large size range. Medium size range
earmuffs will fit the majority of wearers. Small size range
or large size range earmuffs are designed to fit wearers for
whom medium size range earmuffs are not suitable.

Radio (E1)

The hearing protector features level-limiting of audio signals
from the speakers to maximum 82 dB(A) at the ear.
Listening to the radio can entail degraded audibility of warning
signals at the workplace.
On/Off Volume
• Turn the dial marked "1" to switch on the radio. Continue
turning clockwise to increase the volume.
• In the event of poor reception conditions, the radio
automatically switches from stereo to mono mode to
maintain optimal audio quality.
Frequency/channel selector (E2)
• Turn the dial marked "2" to choose radio stations.
• The radio's frequency range is FM 88-108 MHz, AM 540-
1700 KHz ("4")
Active listening (E3)

The hearing protector is equipped with an active volume
function. Check that the function is operable before using the
unit. If interference or faults occur, consult the manufacturer's
instructions on maintenance and battery replacement.
• Warning! The sound from the active volume control on the
hearing protector can exceed the external noise level.
• The hearing protector features level-limiting of audio signals
from speakers to maximum 82 dB(A) at the ear.

• Turn the dial marked "3" to turn on the active listening
microphones. Continue to turn clockwise to increase the
volume.
Active listening + Radio (E)

• Both functions have individual volume control. Adjust the
volume to the desired level.
External audio input (F)
The hearing protector is equipped with an electronic audio
input. Check that the function is operable before using the
unit. If interference or faults occur, consult the manufacturer's
instructions.
• Warning! Connection of an external audio source can entail
a sound level that exceeds the daily permitted exposure
• Maximum permitted audio signal: 263 mV
• You can connect a communications radio, mobile phone or
other external audio source to the 3.5 mm audio input.
• The volume function must be turned on when using the
external audio input.
Batteries (G)
• The unit is supplied with two 1.5V AA batteries.
• Use only 1.5V AA batteries.
• Ensure that the batteries' plus and minus poles are correctly
oriented.
• Never change the batteries when the electronics are on.
