8. while pouring the solution, keep the basin float raised with a non-metal stick (Fig. 12) without
using too much force, until the whole of the solution has been used; then release the float
9. switch off appliance by luminous button (13 in Fig. 3) and disconnect it from mains power
supply
10. remove all ice from bin
11. sanitize ice outlet (15 in Fig. 13), ice bin, door, water supply basin lid and bin thermostat
(16 in Fig. 13); spray the solution directly onto the components to be sanitized and spread with a
sponge and a soft brush, leave to act for at least 30 minutes
12. immerse lid of water supply basin in sanitizing solution for at least 30 minutes
13. rinse previously sanitized components thoroughly with plenty of cold water
14. refit lid of water supply basin
15. discard all ice produced during cleaning operations
16. reposition rear panel and top of the appliance, secure it with screws
The ice flaker can now be reactivated as specified in the previous chapters.

IMPORTANT: All the ice produced during the first 30 minutes after sanitizing operations a
must be discarded.
We recommend asking one of the Authorized Service Centers for a periodic maintenance contract
which includes:
• cleaning the condenser
• cleaning the filter located on the water supply solenoid valve
• checking the charge of coolant gas
• checking the operating cycle
• cleaning and sanitizing the appliance
If you do not intend to use the appliance for a certain period of time, proceed as follows:
• shut off the water supply by turning off the water supply tap (8 in Fig. 5)
• empty water supply basin and evaporator leaving appliance running until ice-making is over
• switch off power supply by the switch (7 in Fig. 5) and unplug appliance
• clean water supply solenoid valve filter as described in chapter 9.1
• clean air condenser filter (air-cooled models) as described in chapter 9.2
