General information
1.1
Safety
All work should be undertaken in compliance with the relevant accident prevention regulations according
to BGV C22.
The system and its parts must be installed by a qualified person.
Before commencing work on the system or its parts, the system must always be shut down and secured
to prevent unauthorised reactivation.
Some system parts are energised and must not be opened. Work on electrical equipment may only be
carried out by an electrician.
All electric cables and connections must be in perfect condition. If there is any damage, the system must
NOT be used.
In the event of damage, water may leak out of the system. Water should be drained away by installing a
floor drain, for example.
If the system is not secured or mounted properly, it may tip over. Ensure that the wall or bracket has suffi-
cient load-bearing capacity.
1.2
Mandatory labelling
Process water is not suitable for drinking or personal hygiene use.
All pipes and extraction points for service water must be labelled with the words "Not Drinking Water", in
writing or in pictures (DIN 1988 Part 2, Para. 3.3.2.) to prevent accidental connection with the drinking
water network, even years after installation.
Even when the system is correctly labelled, children for example may still mistake the service water for
drinking water. A child-proof lock must be installed on all tap connection points for service water.
The system does not affect the quality of the process water.
