7.3 Conductivity measurement

Before measurement, you should familiarise yourself with some of the instrument settings in
the configuration menu. Pay particular attention to the following settings options:
Selection
of the temperature input
(electrode specific)
Selection
of the reference temperature of
the temperature compensation
Selection
of the type of temperature
compensation
56
Select the parameter Con in operating mode. The calibration mode
can now be started by pressing and holding the F1 key.
The value of the selected standard reference solution is displayed.
Wait a moment until the calibration process is complete.
After successful calibration, the newly determined cell constant
is displayed and can be compared with the original cell constant.
If the deviation is too high, it is recommended to clean the electrode
and repeat the calibration in a fresh standard solution.

Rinse the electrode with distilled or deionised water and then with
the sample.
Immerse the measuring cell in the sample. During measurement,
ensure that there are no air bubbles on the electrode surface and
that the electrode, as well as the temperature sensor, are sufficiently
surrounded by the sample.
The measurement value can now be read off from the display. In the
parameter configuration you can change the conductivity to TDS or
salinity if required.
