Solution
Plug the PT7031's AC cord into a suitable AC outlet. Then, turn on the
PT7031 by pushing the on/off switch in the rear of the unit.
Turn it on.
Unplug the PT7031 from the AC outlet briefly and then plug it in again so
it will reset itself.
The "+/–" buttons on the top of the PT7031 remote are the master volume
controls. Press and hold the "+" button to increase the volume.
Check that the cables are correctly and firmly seated on both the PT7031
and the source equipment.
Be sure mute function is not activated.
Check that the video cable is connected and properly seated at both the
PT7031 VIDEO OUTPUT and the TV input.
Select the correct input on the TV, the one that corresponds to where the
VIDEO OUT cable from the PT7031 is connected.
Select 48kHz in the DVD menu or connect and use the analog output from
the DVD player.
