Safety instructions
To protect you from electrical shocks, injury or burns
the following basic safety principles must be observed
when using electrical devices. Please read and follow these
instructions before using the device.
Installation
Ensure that the devices are positioned safely and cannot fall
down or over. Always position the cables to ensure they do
not pose a tripping hazard. Do not expose electrical devices to
rain. Do not operate electrical devices in damp or wet environ-
ments. Do not operate electrical devices close to flammable
liquids or gases. Position the devices so that they are out of
the reach of children.
Protection against an electrical shock
Only operate devices whose casings and cables are undam-
aged. Ensure the cables are installed safely. Do not pull on the
cables.
Use
Do not use electrical devices for purposes other than those
stated by the manufacturer.
Repairs
Do not repair or modify the device. Please contact your dealer
or the Truma Service (see service manual or www.truma.com).
Accessories
Only use accessories and additional devices that are supplied
or recommended by the manufacturer.
Intended use
The Panel EM LED is a control and visualisation component.
The device is designed for installation in caravans, campers
and boats.
The EM LED panel shows the battery voltage of the starter
and supply battery and the filling levels of the fresh water and
waste water tanks. The device automatically switches the
main switch relay and the pump relay in the power supply
(EM 16 IU or EM 30 IU).

1 Pushbutton for checking the voltage of the batteries and
the content level of the fresh and waste water tank.
2 Level indicator LED waste water tank. Lights red if the
waste water tank is filled up to 3/4 or more.
3 LED-chain to show the filling level of the fresh water tank
in 1/4 stages.
4 Charging control LED.
5 LED-chain to show the voltage of the starter battery
(battery I) or supply battery (battery II).
6 The LED lights up if battery I and battery II are switched in
parallel.
7 The main switch for the panel and control switch for
the consumer relay in the power supply. Integrated
EMERGENCY-ON mode for short-term power supply to
the consumers if the low-voltage cut-off has triggered.
8 Main switch indicator LED, shines with switched on main
switch and goes out if the undervoltage protection circuit
switched off.
9 Pump switch for controlling the pump relay in the power
supply (when the main switch is switched on).
10 Control LED shines when the pump switch is switched on.
Taking into operation
The panel is operational as soon as it is switched on via the
main switch (7).
Maintenance
The power supply must always be disconnected before
performing any maintenance work on the device.
Clean the panel with a dry and fluff-free cloth.
Any soiled and / or coated measuring rods (measuring sensors)
will falsify the display.
The sensor in the fresh water tanks should be removed as
required (at least once a year) and the measuring rods should
be cleaned.
The measuring sensor in the waste water tanks should be
cleaned as required (at least once a year).
